The total value of permits issued in February 2010 was $548,412. While this number is down considerably from February 2009, building permits fluctuate widely from month to month. The 2010 YTD values are actually up 45.3% from YTD 2009 and 353.3% from YTD 2005. While there has been some new construction started in 2010, the majority of projects are commercial remodel projects, which have building permits valued at over $2.25 million for year to date.
