The Ada Jobs Foundation announced that the week of June 15-20, 2009 shall be deemed Business and Industry Appreciation Week in honor of the contributions local businesses make to the Ada Area Economy.
The entire week will be filled with various activities for local businesses to participate in. The schedule of events is as follows:
Monday June 15th, 8 am – 2nd Annual Business & Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament
Tuesday June 16th, 11am -1 pm – Ada Jobs Foundation Member Appreciation Cookout
Thursday June 18th, 6 -8pm – Business and Industry Night Out Banquet
In 2008, the Ada Jobs Foundation established the Business & Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament as the first step in creating opportunities to thank local businesses for positively impacting the local economy. This year, the tournament concept has been expanded into a week of events.
Business and Industry Night Out is the week’s crowning achievement. This banquet style event will highlight the achievements of Ada area businesses over the past year(s). Additionally, the Ada Jobs Foundation will be presenting a variety of awards to local businesses for their accomplishments in certain categories. The Ada Jobs Foundation is currently accepting nominations for these awards. Nomination forms can be found on the Ada Jobs Foundation website at www.AdaWorks.org. Golf tournament registration forms and additional information about the week can be found on the website as well.
In addition to this week long celebration, the Ada Jobs Foundation is in the process of planning a job fair which will be limited to Ada area businesses.
