East Central University (ECU) Construction began on the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. The Fine Arts Center is the largest construction project in ECU’s history. The 85,000 square foot facility will combine ECU’s art, music, theatre, speech and mass communication programs. A 1,000-seat theatre, new art gallery, sculpture garden, photography complex and radio, TV and art studios are also included in the Fine Arts Center. Hallie Brown Ford a 1931 graduate of ECU donated $5.25 million to fund this project.
