Sporting activities are popular among all ages in Ada, Oklahoma. Both the high schools and East Central University offer basketball, football, soccer, softball, and baseball. Numerous other sports are available at these levels.

Youth and adults can participate in the City of Ada sponsored softball league in late spring and early summer. The Co-Ed adult league is quite popular with area young professionals. The City of Ada also offers a fall flag football league for the youth. The Kiwani's Club sponsors a little league baseball league every year as well. T-ball leagues are also available for the younger ages.

The Ada Boys and Girls Club sponsors a youth soccer league in the fall. They have recently created an adult co-ed league with fall and summer seasons that is growing in popularity.

The Ada community is a proud supporter or all its athletes. The Ada High School football team has won more state championships than any other school in Oklahoma.  Ada, Oklahoma was the birthplace for numerous sports icons, including Jeremy Shockey, tight end for the New Orleans Saints.

The City of Ada's Parks Department maintains the six city parks and green spaces. City parks include:

• Wintersmith Park - (18th and Wintersmith Drive) - 150 acres, lake, swimming pool, splash park, lodge, basketball courts, softball field, volleyball courts, 1.5 mile lighted trail, eight picnic pavilions, playground, horseshoe courts, and Kiwani's Amusement Park.
• Glenwood Park - (10th and Ash) - 10 acres, two swimming pools, playground, tennis courts, and picnic pavilion
• Matthews Park - (18th and Hickory) - four softball fields, picnic pavilion, and playground
• Southwest Mini Park - (23rd and Hickory) - neighborhood park with picnic pavilion, playground, and basketball courts
• Richardson Park - (1800 Melody Lane) - neighborhood park with picnic pavilion and basketball courts
• Harris Northside Park - (Hammond  and Ware) - neighborhood park with picnic pavilion, playground, and basketball courts
• Ada Tennis Center - (1400 Cradduck Road) - lighted tennis courts and playground

The City of Ada also maintains a 1.5 mile long paved bike trail that runs along the former Katy Railroad bed. The trail is open to bikes, rollerbladers, and hikers.

East Central University's running track, which is located around the football field is open to the public to use for jogging and running activities.

Located only 30 minutes away is the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and Arbuckle Lake, which provide numerous outdoor recreational activities. Also located only a short distance from Ada is Konawa Lake which is a trophy bass fishing location. Water sports are other activities available at both Arbuckle and Konawa Lakes.
